Maybe look at some D1 Illinois schools. Both private and public.

Muzzou’s enrollment last year was the lowest in 20 years. That is a dangerous place to enroll. Once a downward spiral begins, it can’t be stopped. Kids don’t want to go there due to all of the crazy protests from a few years ago.
I guess I should pull back on my commitment then? I don't care what happened a couple years ago, I like the school alot and the running culture is amazing. Liberals killed Missouri? have you ever been to Missouri?

I think the reputation nationally is a result of the national narrative and local narrative surrounding those protests being dramatically different. Most of the local concerns have already been addressed by the new leadership and enrollment is trending up again. It’ll be interesting to see how long the national perspective takes to catch up. At the end of the day, I would send an athlete of mine there. I’m not sure I would have said that 10 years ago, but I have heard nothing but good things about the culture of the program since Burns took over.
To the OP - what are your academic goals? There are plenty of great academic schools in the region but it helps if you have a specific area of study in mind to get more specific recommendations.

Thanks, I was hoping that maybe I would get some more interest after some of those teams have filled their target recruit spots and maybe have a few more roster sports for athletes in good academic standing like myself. Not sure if that is how it works though. I have thought about state school and that is definitely a strong option but I'm also looking to explore other options
I know runners who have been in that situation. They got a recruiting spot as a '2nd tier' recruit after all the top recruits had made their mind up. This was in like.... February or something so it's not really something to bank on. There are definitely less competitive Ivies that would help a 4:16 guy. Lots of other decent private schools with good FA as well outside the Ivy league. You have options.
OP: don't be stupid. 1520 SAT, 3.95 GPA? If you can't do Stanford or an Ivy, your best bet is D3. MIT, Carnegie Mellon, WashU, UChicago, Williams - lots of academically elite universities with good-to-very-good programs.
Hearty LOL to people telling him to go to some random state school. Again: 1520, 3.95. Going anywhere but a top-25 national academic university will be a waste of his actual talent.
It depends on the financial situatiton of the Parents. The Unibersity of Oklahoma has more national merit finalists than any other university because of the cost. I have children at our state school who both scored higher on the SAT than the OP. We read the US news article about the study conducted by a Princeton professor who was trying to show that an Ivy education was worth it. He found that the equivalent kids who attended state schools earned the same as the ivy graduates. So don’t listen to a LR poster who knows nothing. Read the study.
D3 is definitely an option. UChicago, MIT and Pomona are at the top of my list. I would just like to explore some other options. State school is also a great option price wise and finances are something that I will take into consideration when I am making my final decisions.
We looked at WashU and MIT along with some of the Ivies but they were full price for our family. Notre Dame was nonresponsive. I don't know why you would look further than WashU if you go D3. We just calculated that the kids would never overcome the additional $200k that we would have to pay for those schools as compared to a state school that was almost free.
4 year college is not worth it. You will indoctrinated by liberal sociology and gendered (sexist) studies. Go to community college and then become an apprentice and learn a trade (welding).
Maybe you can help build The Wall!!!
