Currently he is 112 years and 33 days, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes it to 115.
Richard Overton: Born on May 11, 1906.
Doesn’t take any medication and has no aches or pains.
Drinks whisky in his coffee daily and in the evening with soda water.
Smokes more than 12 cigars a day.
Overton previously told the Wall Street Journal that he smokes “at least 12 Tampa Sweet cigars a day” and also credits drinking whiskey as his secret to his longevity.
"Whiskey’s a good medicine. It keeps your muscles tender."
“Good to have a spiritual life, but you got to live it”.
Mr Overton attributes active yard work and a single baby aspirin taken every day to his long life.
Hell, maybe the secret to life is just enjoying what you have and being content with that. Stop wasting time keeping up with others or trying to have more and more. He lives in the house he built back in 1945 and sees no reason to continually buy the next best thing, be it technology, cars etc. He doesn’t believe in credit cards, everything he has he bought with cash.
