Just did a tour of the far east and after getting returning home I am in awe of how orderly, polite and advanced their societies are.
It's almost as if, socially and culturally they're still in the 1950s, technologically speaking, they're in the 2020s. It's a very interesting dynamic - traditional cutlure imposed on a hypermodern landscape. But it seems to work.
It's sad in a way to see what the U.S. COULD be if we didn't let our obsessions with individualism and "freedom" (whatever that means) turn into the disaster that we see today.
The Crime Rate in the USA is getting lower, soon we will be at least as safe and maybe/probably safer than Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, in fact just a couple of months ago Baltimore challenged it's citizens to go 3 days without killing and they met their goal, the 4 other times they tried to go 3 days without killing their were killings on the very first day, this shows where going in the right direction, also in Chicago last year a person was shot every 2 hours, this year it has lowered to a person getting shot every 2 and 30 Minutes in Chicago, we are really making great strides.
