25 mpw? That seems awfully low even if that is the point. Any relitivley good runner needs to do more the 25 miles a week. Also if they are doing low Millard it means they are probably more workout and effort based, which can be worse for girls. Mileage is less on the body then over training from putting in too much effort which happens a lot of teens. If they are actually doing 25, they are some talent. Basically every girl on my xc team runs more then that and we aren’t that good. I feel like most girls will run anywhere from 30-40 mpw.
Looking at the Bronxville team stats, they have a great middle distance crew but not much in the 3200 or XC. That would be pretty reasonable mileage for a 4/8 girl that also runs XC. Maybe a good track squad is a bigger emphasis in their program than XC?
