Let’s mess around with the camera so we can never get the 1600 solit.
Stones: the race is well established , so we are going to commercials.
These Campbell guys are just in the way, they need to step off the track now that their pacemaking duties are done.
Nice job, McGorty. Knight lost that race because of bad positioning and left himself too much work to do in the last 100m.
Glaringly obvious that the BYU crew sandbagged the 10k
2nd year in a row Knight has given it away due to poor positioning going into the last lap. I fail to see why he wouldn't try to make it a 13:30 kind of race. Nice race from both Stanford guys.

Yeah, but I would have expected better from them after the easy 10k. They should have been in the top group in the 5k, not barely getting one guy top 8.
So NCAA 4x400 record is going down. But by how much?
McGorty's last lap was 56.53, Fisher's 56.40 and Knight's 56.18
Knight was .57 back at the bell. At 60 second pace that's 3.8 meters. Can't be that far back in a slow race unless you're way better than everyone and it's hard to be way better at kicking in a slow race.
McGorty was 2nd 2 years ago to King Ches.

He also ran in lane 2. In case you didn’t know that means he ran farther.
I think USC is on 2:56 pace.

Happens when your head is big and you think you are faster. He is obviously not faster...
43.52 for Rai Benjamin's leg. Well under 1:30 at halfway, this could be good
2:59.00. 43.60 for Norman on anchor. What a day.

Man, all of rojo's favorites are not performing today.

43.6. It has to be a manual time, since it was 2nd leg in a lane besides lane 1.

What would be their motivation for sandbagging the 10k?
Fresher legs for the 5k?

Obviously, yes
What a great meet. 400, 400H, 4x4, 4x1 were all collegiate records. Plus a great 10k, team drama with the hurdles, and a new team champion. I'm looking forward to watching the women wrap things up tomorrow.

Should have false started like the Houston 400 hurdler then. Would have been more entertaining and 6 miles less on their legs
