seeing as you had internet access to post that, couldn't you have just googled what the weather was?

That seems a little generous to me. The top women were all in the 36-37 range and seem to have 10K PRs of around 31:00 to 32:00. My fastest Bix was around 38 minutes, and I have a hard time believing I could have run 32:00 for 10,000 on the track at that time.
I'm inclined to think that 37 at Bix is probably more in the 32:00 10K range. From there, each minute at Bix is probably worth about 50 seconds on the track.
33 Bix = 28:40 10K
34 Bix = 29:30 10K
35 Bix = 30:20 10K
36 Bix = 31:10 10K
37 Bix = 32:00 10K
38 Bix = 32:50 10X
That matches up pretty well with the track PRs of the elite men and women.
This is horribly done, take for instance Patel: National 10k champ in 29:40’s whatever just ran 34:52. If your definition of “Bix” for 34:Bix means like really really high seconds (57:58/59) then sure maybe you are close for one person. Take another runner, Norvell. 30:01 10K runner who was 36 Bix. Well, if Bix for him means negative 69 (giggity) seconds then again, I suppose you are right.
Maybe let’s take a look outside of NCC. Eli Kazcinski of Wartburg, 30:30 10K guy that would be estimated to be a 35 Bix guy. Brace yourself, 37:34?!?! Eli, don’t expect to be under 32 this year after that pointless summer bomb.
Summer training/workouts/fitness isn’t exactly specific man... they probably aren’t in track 10k pr shape. I think 35 flat at the bix shows around 30:15-30:30 current fitness for a track 10k. 36 flat around 31:15-31:30 and so on... My 2 cents
The Rhodes Lynx should walk all over the S/SE Region this year with CNU losing so much to graduation. Spencer Fields is an outstanding gentlemen and should be top 25 indivdiually. He can lead Rhodes to a top 15 team finish at NCAA’s. The Captains, Emory, and W&L chasing the second spot in the Region.
So you think these guys aren't in shape to run within a minute of their 10K PRs during summer training? That's absurd. My guess is if they ran a track 10K right now in decent weather most All Americans would be within about 15-20 seconds of their PRs from this past spring. The 10K is an aerobic event. The only piece that might not be there in the middle of the summer is the ability to really close hard the last mile or 2K.
we get it, NCC is fast and will undoubtedly trounce everyone this year like always. Can we talk about if anyone knows about any other individuals/teams putting in notable work/results this summer?
everything is adding up to to be the year of the goat. Haverford will shock NCC.

Sounds like you know next to nothing about training.
Loras has been climbing the ranks within recent years. How will they look this year?
What about Eau Claire as well?
Bump

I'd add a minute to all of these conversions. After all, BIX is in late July and they will gain fitness and peak in November. I've had multiple teammates run 36:xx at the BIX and only one has run under 31 in a 10k on the track.
You just have to have some knowledge or experience of running the course and you'll know that there's a 1200m hill, long mostly downhill to the halfway point w/ exception of 1 maybe 2 hills, some challenging hills on the way back, flat stretch for a bit, 1200m downhill that you can fly down (what's pain anyways?), and 400m straight away to the finish.
I recently heard that the Lake Shore Golf Course (Natties Course) in Oshkosh was closed and construction is being done to build the world headquarters for Oshkosh Corp. Will this impact the course? Anyone know? Is natties even going to be hosted there?

Nationals course is Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, WI.
Haverford shock North Central?
Who do they even have? They lost their only cross AA. Best two returners from last year were in the 50s.
It might be worth noting Havvy blew up completely at natties, be it due to choking peaking too early or just getting outclassed, but if you look at their performance in regionals a case could certainly be made for them, at the very least podium finishing. They beat their entire region combined at regionals last year

And the Northeast is a VERY weak region.
I beg to differ that it is a very weak region, there are some talented runners that can put up a good fight at natties. MIT and Amherst usually contend pretty well. Besides teams there is some good lone talent, Mason from Conn College, and a couple other beasts of the east.
Haverford is the Mideast region. Carnegie Mellon and...? Some good individuals but not really that many good teams.
