The Panera out in Oshkosh was so packed all the time, minimum wait time of like 15 minutes. Truly brutal

I see Calvin College is dealing with their blow-up at nationals pretty well. They've decided to give themselves an improvement of 2 places from the actual results! Go Knights!

I don't understand how every year teams like Hopkins and CMU see their athletes start out in the front and consistently move backwards throughout the race and still think going out hard is a reasonable strategy.

Saw one of the hopkins guys was through the first checkpoint in 80th and ended up 197th, though not as bad as a Calvin guy who went from 83rd to 275th! yikes.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, hats off to Clark Ricciardelli of Amherst who was through the first checkpoint in 150th and ended up 25th!
NCAAs is tricky to get right. Getting out slow works in a lot of races, and all of a sudden you find yourself in the very back of the NCAA pack and have to fight through 200 bodies to get to your spot. Getting out fast works in a lot of races, and then all of a sudden you’re red-lining to be at the front, or else you still aren’t in a comfortable position and panic.
Good for Clark for moving up 125 spots, but he ran the last 5.7k of his race as fast as the 5th place finisher, and finished 25th. What if he’d gotten out a little harder?

So I guess you can't blame their entire performance on the fall.

What was up with the NCC workout Wednesday playing on the big screen before the guys race? I get it; North central is really good and will pretty much always win. At an event that is inclusive and all the teams that qualified for, no single team should receive special treatment. Flotrack's sucking of NCC's d•ck really doesn't belong on the big screen, at the meet. Until everyone has crossed the line and the scores tallied, each team and individual should be regarded as equal and displaying a Flotrack produced video on one team, no matter how likely it is that they will win, is distasteful. This isn't meant to hate on the NCC guys- they are a great team and I respect how dominant they are. I also imagine that they don't want a video of their mile workout from September playing for all to see at the national meet either.
In a similar vein, Flotrack posted a picture of Nebraska Wesleyan's teepee on instagram, noting how it is the best team tent at the meet. This teepee in particular has been almost unanimously decided as cultural appropriation ad extremely classless by everyone I've talked about it for the last few years.
Its things like these that shine a light on how hilariously out of touch and bad for the sport Flotrack is. Like the cool kid in middle school. You think they are great only because you have yet to experience anything better. Looking back, that kid was just an a••hole who was mediocre at best. Lets not get too comfortable with Flotrack running the show. I think it detracts from what makes D3 great.

flotrack sucks wtf
https://www.instagram.com/p/BqSbHuxh1fH/Lol, maybe your team should win as often as NCC if your feelings are hurt by the attention they’re getting. Typical liberal snowflake.
im republican and feel the same way?
They were practically doing the same for Hopkins all season. Good thing they didn't show a big video of them, too.

That teepee is a staple of the Divison III Cross Country Championships.

That's sad because it is neither true nor should anyone believe that it is.
Does anyone know where pictures from the meet would be?
anyone else notice Sam Brunette's splits in the results?
2.3k - 21
3k - 227
5k - 17
5.6k - 24
7.1k - 69
finish - 103
That can't be real can it?

Sorry, didn't notice his splits because he finished 103rd.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
