Saw that Dani Jones won the 1500 tonight at Pre... did I miss a redshirt year or did something else happen that I was not aware of?

Some guy tried to race her on an easy run, but she countered and raced back, breaking a little-known NCAA eligibility rule, thus ending her collegiate career. With NCAA Regionals out of the picture, Prefontaine was the next logical choice.

Injured during indoors, but ran champs - 2nd in mile to E Purrier in photo finish. Redshirted outdoor - obviously healthy now, but had no outdoor qualifying times even if wanted to do late entry to outdoor nationals. I believe the 4:07 at pre was a PR...just let her go past on the trail...
The announcer said she was redshirting outdoors

Debuting in 4:07 is amazing
The potential NCAA winner and NCAA leader isn't even going to be at the NCAA Championships
Maybe she can go to some more meets (Stumptown/Portland Track Festival) and run another fast one or maybe a fast 800/5k, might as well compound on the fitness
She is redshirting. Not sure if it is because of the winter injury or for training sake.... Makes sense for her to stick around under Wetmore for one more year, gets her one more year closer to the trials and another year of training that is obviously working well for her.
Excellent job pacing the 1500m on Saturday. She could show the men how it's done.
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
