10.34
Cole Beck in Virginia ran 10.37 this season
yeah you're wrong.
That's the best the US has? Even tiny non-sprinting Finland has a high school kid that ran 10.31 last year.
thats all you got? wrote:

That's the best we've got for white sprinters. The US has had a kid go 10.13 though so...

"the best the US has?" that kid from finland would be tied for 9th nationally in the 100m for high schoolers. our best is currently 10.04

I don’t bother tracking such a qualified distinction, so I’ll defer to you.

Don't get outraged at someone before you do your own research. He is right. Kalon Barnes ran 10.04 a few weeks ago.

Not that hard to research really. Where do you and the other guy see Kalon Barnes running a 10.04 here. The only junior that has run around that time is the Italian, Tortu, and he's older than high school age.

You have no clue do you?
IAAF does not give care at all or pay attention to USA high school track times. It does not track all meets in the USA and compile the rankings. Those times are from INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION only. If you look at actual websites that care about USA hig h school track and field, you will find what the others are talking about. Now, the time they are quoting is +3.2 m/s, so not wind legal, but there are other times better than the times you are talking about that are legal. IAAF pays no attention to anything but itself. A big problem in the sport if you ask me.
None of these people are Caucasian! Mondo Duplantis = Nordic. Cole Beck = Anglo. Austin Kratz = Germanic. The fastest Caucasian would be named Ibrahimov or Mikoyan or something.

How has nobody pointed out yet that mondo doesn't compete for the US?
Anyway, in other news, his dad bet him at the start of the season that he wouldnt run under 10.7 this year. Looks like he just needs a wind legal race and he is golden.

Yes they do. Change the "wind reading" setting to "all" and Barnes's time is listed there.
