Alan Turner has been let go by Notre Dame as head coach. Any thoughts on replacements?

Asking as a mid-major coach...
Does a small D1 coach have a chance at this job?
No conference championship titles or national success, several regional athletes though.

Nope
I know AD is flying Brother Colm O’Connell in for an interview
If this means Sparks is gone then HS coaches will be celebrating.
Unless Sparks gets the head job he’s probably done. Same with Carlson too.

Done at Notre Dame or done with coaching?
You are an idiot.
Matt is a very good coach.
Nobody would be celebrating a very good coach with a family getting let go and having to find a new job and move...
I have it on good faith from the Notre Dame AD that Anna Botha (coach of WVN) is being heavily recruited right now.

Good Coach?? STRIKE ONE
The fact that he is an arrogant prick and not a "very good coach". STRIKE TWO
He has had no problem ignoring quality athletes that would have helped his program. STRIKE THREE
Why should anyone feel sorry for a guy that has had no problem talking down kids. It was ridiculous what a door mat his Cross team was this past season. You certainly can't blame the lack of depth on anyone but him. YOU ARE OUTTA HERE
Why is this turning into an attack on Sparks? He is still getting results. Maybe he ignored strong runners, because Turner controlled the purse strings. That is the risk when the head coach is not the distance coach. I hope they go back to that model. We met him recently and while he didn't have anything for us, we enjoyed getting to know him and he was very generous with his time and advice. Daughter ended up with a great scholarship offers from others who out preformed ND this season, so were surprised ND came up empty, but again its the head coach that is the money master.

Have you seen Letsrun coaching threads before? They are full of cowardly coaches waiting for their chance and tearing down others.

Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
