Obviously, the guy couldn't take a hint.....
Wait, we should encourage Nick Symmonds to climb Mount Everest.

You wish Symmonds dead? What has the guy done to you?

That was a joke.
Unfortunately that kind of Japanese person still is the majority of the population of Japan, i.e. the 'no-failure until death' mentality dominated the Japanese psyche very now today. China watches hidden, secret Japan Advance Physics, Nuclear Weapons programs for fear of repeated Japanese aggresssions.

Not a very good one.
He hasn't been positively identified yet - the police are still awaiting results from the nub print lab. More on this story as it develops.

I was thinking the same thing...how could you wish someone dead? That's pretty disgusting human behavior. You might want to reevaluate yourself, and why you'd wish death on someone that you've likely never even met.

It is funny because Nick already announced that he would climb Everest in the future. It is also funny that others run to Nick's defense unaware of his plans/self-promotion/whatever.
On an unrelated note, I could really use some gum, but also need to get a boost of caffeine. Any ideas?
He'll be a hero now and get his own Natl Park like Shogun Tokugawa's Nikon National Park, the World's 1st National Park ever on Earth.
I am aware of Nick's announced Everest attempt. That doesn't make it funny (nor am I really offended, it's just a lame joke).

No, you're wrong on all accounts. Nothing about it was funny. I'm fully aware of his sub4 mile/Everest Schlick; and that certainly doesnt make the comment any less inappropriate. Disgusting.

"I believe you can joke about anything."-George Carlin
https://youtu.be/fwMukKqx-OsYes, George Carlin can (could) joke about anything because he was funny. How does that apply to the Symmonds comment?
