uh, what does that mean

Horses eat oats. Horses run a mile in 1:3X. Cain obviously isn't eating oats, because she does not run the mile in 1:3X.
3 comments in like 12 hour = SUPER HOT
Why is this "super hot"?

Every time this happens someone like you says something like this and someone like me comes and says the "super hot" designation is automatic and based on the number of clicks, not the number of comments. Glad to be part of the machine
I think the people running this site don't have good English. They don't know what super hot means. If anything was super hot recently, it was Bekele's 10 miles. If I run this site, it would be so much better.

i agree banana bread!
If we do not see the issue with passive-aggressive threads like this, then we are in more trouble than we thought.
Mary Cain was, at the time, a blossoming athlete. But imagine the travesty of letsrun and some of its hawks and cultures to not let her become a woman on her terms.
She may very well get to the level she was. She may not.
This was not an arrogant girl who is getting pressure regarding behaviors and comments she made in the past. This is an unnatural obsession with bashing someone who did not deserve it in the first place.
I don't see why we can't appreciate what Cain was and leave it at that.
Please, for your sakes, and the sakes of others like you, please see the problem inherent in this fixation on Mary Cain.
other than taking the opportunity to take a shot at her because your life stinks, did something actually happen over the weekend that would motivate you to bring her up?
In her latest interview she said she's going to get back to racing in 2018. Who knows when that'll be, but I'm glad she's planning on getting back to it. She's barely 22 years old and there's a wealth of talent there, plenty of time to get to the top of her game in the 1500.
She’s a professional athlete who is tanking, after leaving a program under investigation for doping it’s athletes.
Of course she’ll be talked about on these boards.
You know? I get the attacks and the suspicion regarding Salazar. However, do you remember studying McCarthyism? What many of you are doing is taking young, vulnerable athletes through the wringer and making it seem like it is okay. You are making the athletes solely responsible for the behaviors of someone else all because many of you are afraid to get in the face of Salazar and tell him how wrong he is. We read about Rupp this and Rupp that. So be it...but Rupp is established enough where he doesn't care what you say and that bothers you. So, you go for an easier target ....Mary Cain. But you don't go after Cain while she is on top. No, instead you choose a time where she is recovering and has no defense. If you want to be heroic, centralize on dealing with the Albertos of the world directly....not the Cains.

Let's take a moment here for a reality break, shall we? I don't necessarily disagree with your point, but if Mary Cain (or any other elite runner, for that matter) is reading this message board and taking stock in the opinions of trolls...well...she has bigger problems than getting her racing career back on track.
And, on the off chance that Cain DOES read this forum and allows the inflammatory rants of some random poster to get under her skin, then she would be too weak-minded to ever achieve world class status again, anyway.
It's almost funny that LetsRun forum trolls actually think that many elite runners frequent this site, much less give a rat's rump about what a bunch of hobby-joggers think. LOL!
What happened to Mary Cain is what happened to Meb, Jordan Hasay, Shalane, etc. They get a big injury and it takes a while to get back into things. Mary broke down physically in 2016 and took 2017 off to recover and finish school. Her time out from the sport was longer because she wanted to get her degree and is keenly aware that professional running is not something you can assume will be your career. Jordan Hasay suffered a similar break down and came back to become a top US marathoner. Others have faded away after a bad injury earlier in their pro running career. Who knows what the future will hold for Mary. But there really isn't a big story here just because she spent some time with AlSal at NOP.
You know P!nk???? Yes...the very elite musical artist??? Remember when she was sick and had a couple of difficulties at the end of the National Anthem? The first thing essentially that she did was to check tweets. Mary may not come here. Maybe not. But there is a chance that parents, friends, associates, agents, or a small cross-section of the Cain entourage may come here. Admittedly, I have no affiliation whatsoever with Ms. Cain but I am sure that there are other people with my opinion who may not be outspoken enough to make it clear. However, I am. It's not up to you to determine what is weak or not. Sensitivity to comments does not equal weakness. Randy Moss and Terrell Owens took pretty much every comment that every person made seriously and it affected them. They are both hall of famers now. It doesn't work that way.

And then? Salazar doesn't lose a minute of sleep and continues to run the doping program blessed by USATF/IAAF, because Nike.
A pizza delivery person delivers a pizza. The pizza has pepperoni only because they ran out of sausage. This pizza was handed to the delivery person after it was made by the pizza maker.
Prior to this, the pizza maker saw the problem and told his supervisor. His supervisor was not sure and called the manager. The manager regrettably told him that the supply truck was delayed and that sausage would not be there until later that evening. This happened because the corporate headquarters submitted the paper too late for that day's order.
The end result: the delivery person gets yelled at.
This is precisely what you are doing here by making Cain responsible for your NOP angst.

Let's take a moment and consider if it's really worth responding to someone who is either a nut or LR's best ever troll.
She must be getting equipment only from Nike. Can't imagine they are paying her a salary based on her responses and total lack of GAF. MCATs this spring and med school apps next fall will totally consume her next season.
