When did Kiprop start to go dirty? He was a prodigy, not someone who showed huge improvement in mid- or late-career.

...he was always dirty
last November as far as I can tell
Probably a good question for Canova.

Bingo. Canova likely has a superb insight into when an athlete needs to start using PEDs to get to the next level and compete against the other drug monsters, at least in terms of matching top times.
Kiprop probably hit the needle once he couldn't get past the high 1:44s and 3:32.
Canova should share his extensive knowledge of doping protocols. It would be the honorable thing to do.
Alls I know is that Canova is a fraud and liar.

Right. People cheat because they are dirty, rather than people are dirty because they cheat.
I am actually most impressed by those with such a late improvement like Sir Farah and Lady Radcliffe, for it appears that they actually might have been clean for a couple of years.
As for Kiprop, look at what the IAAF wrote about his biography:
" It did not take Asbel long to do even better – at the age of 18, the youngster whose hero and role model is Hicham El Guerrouj won the 1,500m at the 2007 All Africa Games in Algiers."
Probably as a junior. Why would a guy late in his career who was already on the top 10 all time list and had olympic gold suddenly start doping?
I tend to give athletes the benefit of the doubt until until they fail a test and then I feel like they are no longer worthy of any trust since a cheater is a cheater. Kiprop still has appeals but, assuming he isn't vindicated, all of his past accomplishments should be wiped off the books down to his middle school presidential fitness mile record if the equivalent exists in Kenya.
Didn't he make his break through in 2007? Probably in 2007.
I don't think Kiprop is a doper
He has natural talent

Okay...naturally talented athletes don't dope? So, I guess that leaves the not so talented elites that would ever dope? ?

Curious: If he's banned will his village eighty-six him?

So did Ben Johnson, but know what took him to the next level?
He might have started young, but I think he went ham when he was in 3:26 shape. He would toy with the competition and do Fartleks in races and pass everybody starting from last position. It was just like Dibaba when she was on a mission going for all middle distance records. I wonder how she never gets caught.
Fartlek, not fartleks.

What do you call multiple fartlek runs?
