Let's figure that the fastest horses can cover a mile and a quarter in just over two minutes and the fastest humans take nearly five. By my calculations a mile is about two to two and a half times longer, relatively, for humans than for horses. Does this mean that the equine equivalent of 100 miles per week would be about 230-250? Do any horses actually put that much training in?
