I don't get it. He's barely better than average now. Just saw him get destroyed in that 800 at oxy. Post gold blues? Lost his drive?

He's not an 800 runner. He's training through this meet. He's running a 1500 later. He does an average runner type double like this every year. I think the year he won gold he ran like two more 800s after the meet in sub 1:50 or something like that.
Ramzi: off the juice
Makhloufi: off the juice
American: part of the plan
Olympic success has gone to his head. He is DONE.
You guys are idiots. It was clearly a workout. And he won the 1500. The year he won gold he did the same thing.
Jenkins did the same thing a couple weeks ago

Yup we live in a country with actual out of competition testing and officials that cant be bribed with a 20 dollar dollar bill, yo
To be fair he won the second section. Had the 4th fastest time. But closed in a 54 to outkicked merber. Also it's much more likely Centro is clean that someone like MakDaddy, just based on how much he's tested. Also, the dud has very little ties to AlSal in the first place.

He talks to AlSal multiple times a week. What are you on about?

You're going to use an actual banned doper, with multiple stripped gold medals, as an example to prove Americans are simply xenophobic?
I'm just saying relative to someone like Galen. My understanding is that it's not like they're super buddy buddy. I'm sure if AlSal wanted him on the juice, he'd want him closer to home and would have a closer eye on him.
It is hard to rub the T cream on over the phone!

Did he actually win the second heat, or did OP actually “watch him get destroyed”? The two seem mutually exclusive.
Or so he says.
At this point, it looks like only Galen and Jordan see Alberto regularly. Centro is based in Arlington, VA, Jenkins in Portsmouth, NH and the rest of the group (Engels, Murphy Osako, Hassan, and Kejelcha) are overseen by Pete Julian.
I'm sure his dad and he talk to Salazar about workouts, but not much else. Mo, Eric, and Centro (two of their biggest stars and their up and coming) all leaving at the end of 2017 is very odd. Something is up.

That's what all those trainers are for.
That’s not even true, I’ve noticed you say this on multiple threads. Salazar coaches Rupp, Jordan, Kejelcha, Hassan and Murphy. Julian coaches Engels, Osako, Jenkins.
Come on.
Salazar didn't even know what country she represented internationally.
What athletes Salazar coaches officially may not reflect what is actually occurring. What little bit of training/NOP related content Murphy has posted on social media has never included Salazar, but has included Julian (he posted an Instagram story several months ago of Julian showing him and Engels the underwater treadmill) on several. Kejelcha is a maybe (I'll grant he's still based in Portland) and it would seem Murphy is on a different schedule than the rest of NOP's track athletes, but there is very little convincing evidence as someone who's followed the group for a while that Salazar is coaching any more than 3-4 athletes in the group.
His future is at 5000.

He has superior genetics and is nearing 30, he's probably on par with whatever long term career plan he had in mind. I'd love to see him give the 5000 a try after 2020, would be interesting.
Centro peaked in 2016. A great time to peak, but he's past his prime. He'll try to continue to promote himself as long as he can by using the success of the past to entice excitement for a great potential comeback performance..... like Ryan Hall did for years.

Idk..peaked or not..what the hell does a board of clowns like ourselves have to say in regards to Centro..he can post videos in towels on IG and smoke joints off his balcony if he wants at this point..he's good to go for awhile
