How come the fly is 2.25 oz heavier than the vaporfly? 2.25 that’s a lot! A 8.75 oz shoe is a heavy shoe (248 grams) that I would never buy. Are they made of different material?

Officially the difference is 1.5 ounces (6.9 vs. 8.4 ounces, men's size 9). The Vaporfly's carbon plate may be lighter than the Zoom Fly's carbon/nylon plate, and the Vaporfly uses a different lightweight foam (ZoomX vs. Lunarlon).
