With a year of training of course. I'm not one of those idiots who thinks any 2:08 guy can automatically cruise up and down the mountains.

He could.
He won't try.
There are other events that are financially better for him to run.

All these races have been exposed for discriminatory practices in regards to registration, it's why they created the Golden Ticket (against the RD wishes) to solve for up and coming elites and not keep it white-old centric.
They need to bring in new blood to these races like the Walmsley's of the world.
Yep. One of the main problems with ultra running is the lack of merit based entry in to races.
From what I've read he has jogged 100 kilometres in training.
I believe he would win or come close to winning.
He would probably need only a couple weeks to prepare.
Dude could win it in his sleep. All he’d have to do is toe the line and everyone else would go home. Yuki is one of a kind when it comes to durability and tenacity.
Put simply, Yuki has a set of 10 lb brass balls.
Yuki would be winning by at least a couple hours as he approached the finish line, well ahead of the record. 400 meters from the finish, he would collapse from exhaustion. Because he's Yuki.

Anybody is free fo enter the golden ticket races. All you have to do is get top two.
Yuki would definitely blast the first downhill in record time. Not sure what would happen after that.
His time was 4:41:55, passed through the marathon in 2:39
This is only 6:23 per mile (3:58) per kilometer, though in the latter part of the race he was reduced the pretty much jogging
Yuki Kawuachi FTW.

First, there was at least 350 meters of uphill. That's really a challenge, if you have never tried it.
Second, Yuki broke the CR by like 7 minutes.
Third, 42 miles. With all that uphill. A huge lead. Jogging at the end sounds pretty good when it's "just a training run."
Fourth, Yuki!

And, would've blamed the pollen for triggering his asthma.
Now that he's pro, someone should tell him that there's $10K on the line at The North Face CA 50 mile. With some training in hills, that might be easy money. He doesn't need to taper much for things, so it won't affect his race schedule negatively.
okay ill tell him.

He is not pro yet. Nonetheless, NF 50 would be a great race for him, especially if Walmsley would do it too. The first half would be psychotic.
Wut. Yuki is the GOAT.
