I am distance runner that tried to train for long sprint and middle distances. I achieved 400m 59.1, 600m 1.32.2, 800m 2.11, 1500m 4.31. I never used spikes for several reasons, such as non-competitive results, ability to directly compare my speeds at all distances, remoteness from the rubberized track. All my results are shown with Mizuno Hitogami. But over time I accumulated some frustration: how much faster can I run these distances?
I almost decided to buy spikes specifically for testing, but first I want to ask if someone compared the speed of flats and spikes in any particular test?
