Family court is biased towards women. Good luck. My friend used the forums at MGTOW.com to help him through his divorce. Some of the people there have radical beliefs, but most are normal people who have been exposed to situations similar to this one.

Years ago, I was served divorce papers after a lost my job. I challenged the norms which you addressed in most general terms. I didn't just roll over. I took my divorce to trial. Two and a half days of trial. Female judge Crucified me. In US, unless woman is a proven alcoholic &/or drug addict or proven to be insane, she wins in Family Court. For males in Family Court, your only choice is to be as nice to your soon to be ex as possible. Show the judge you want too cooperate. There is no other option.

It depends on the state, I think.

My girlfriend made more than her ex when they got divorced and now she pays him child support. I don't think it's always female-biased. In Colorado, my experience is that they calculate the child support based on the earnings of the two parents and ignore the genders.

Divorce can definitely get ugly. Probably better if everyone signed a pre-nup before they got married. It would make things a lot simpler.
