Bekele would of lapped her 5 times.

Definitely not "overly dramatic theatrics." She was definitely dehydrated or something and that wasn't all for show

Wasn't suggesting that Finn, herself, was being overly dramatic. I was just saying that we see the same display - real or not - at the end of every single women's race. So much so that even the real occurrences of distress are boring and barely noteworthy.

We get it. You like guys, and consider women to be inferior.
Bump for those who correctly realized the strategy at conference was unwise.
Her coach should be ashamed of himself.
You’re not making any sense. Her performance has attracted so much commentary and speculation exactly because it stood out as noteworthy. This was nothing at all like a group of women struggling to the line then flopping down in real or mock exhaustion. She was half out of it for at least the last two laps. She may have looked fine the next day but that must have taken a lot out of her.

She scratched the 10k last night. Can she still run the 5k? The rules should prohibit it. I think her strategy at conference was unwise and she is still suffering.
Care to comment PrZ?
Anybody got a video?

Unless you have run through a championship season and qualified for Nationals you don't have good perspective on this. Injuries are often a day-to-day thing. Finn may be nursing an injury (it band, stress reaction, SI joint, achilles, etc.) where a single 10k race will injure her more and end her season. The regional 5k may be more managable and allow her to continue her season at nationals.

He/she asked isn’t that prohibitted to scratch from one event and run another and the answer is yes. She would have had to run the 10k to some extent giving honest effort to be able to contest the 5k. She is scratched from the meet now.

Wrong. You may want to read the rule book.
"ARTICLE 3. Should the decision be made to withdraw from or abandon an event, the competitor shall be scratched from any subsequent event(s) in the meet. However, a subsequent examination and resulting recommendation by the appointed/approved medical doctor/athletic trainer of the competition shall be considered by the referee to determine if continued participation is allowable."

Start lists aren't hard to find you dummies. She's not entered in the 5000m.

That was hard to watch. It has to take some type of physical toll on the body that can't be overcome in a matter of days and maybe actually, weeks.

You’re a dummy, but so am I. The other guy was right so me and you are the only two dummies
