George Manangoi is officially 2 months YOUNGER than Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
Since his brother is a star I'm more likely to believe his age. Anyone else?

same here
George Manangoi is 17. Justus Soget is 18 (looks 15).
Keni Harrison wins a stacked women's 100H in 12.53, beating Olympic champ Brianna McNeal.
McNeal challenged her and had an early lead, but Harrison was super smooth through the second half while McNeal lost some momentum on one of the later hurdles.
Dawn Harper Nelson is retiring after this year and didn't get her final Diamond League season off to a good start as she hit a hurdle and was a distant last.
Kenny open her season with a 12.53 100mh, Brianna McNeal 2nd in 12.58

You folks are so cynical about Kenyans ages it's starting to get old. Seriously, it's no longer funny. Here's a short interview with George from last year's WU18s. He's 17 now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7Jl2-zA7BIElijah Manangoi in the 800? Should be interesting.

A cynicism Kenyan "juniors" have earned over the decades.
Just remember Kipchoge is 33. Carry on.
Alberto can't coach the 800.
Korir showed he's the best.
He was injured last year at Worlds. The international broadcasters act like he just bombed out in the rounds.
Murphy didn't quit on homestretch and passed a few guys which was encouraging.

Murphy would struggle to get on the podium at NCAAs this year.

Was it really encouraging? In 2016 and early 2017, Murphy may very well have won this race. Thus, I find it difficult to be encouraged by this result.

Well it's 2018 not 2016

Huh?
The field started slow. Murphy might have split 54/53 which is a very hard 800 to run. Also, it is early season for him. I don't think this was a bad race considering the start.

good thing he doesn't
Kipyegon Bett DFL! He's coming out of an injury, though.
Someone remind me, was Murphy still with his Akron coach when he attempted his ill-advised UASTF double? That seemed to be the nail in the coffin for the last 10 months of his career.
Noah Lyles wins 200m in a meet record 19.83! T&B's Richards 2nd in 19.99 and World champ Ramil Guliyev 3rd in 20.11. De Grasse back in 6th (20.46).
