Kenyan running is all a farce. Rosa and others have been doping Kenyans since early 2000's. It's all a farce.
Was Paul Tergat a Rosa guy?
Sad...
When was the date of the test/sample? Is this backdated to a previous year or did it just happen? (I didn't see that in the article, just that it was out of competition)

There's no such thing "as lock-tight certainty"... even positives (+) can be faked by the authorities in charge, when there is incentive. For some sports (and scenarios), this is easier than others.

C'mon Coevett...I'm getting tired of your imperious control tactics! You think you're an internet tough guy because of your MMA background. You simply try to intimidate anyone who doesn't agree with your platform. This this typical of some of you Brits - now I know what my Irish ancestors were talking about with the arrogant, pompous British rule in N.Ireland.
We should have an "LRC commenters go home DEVASTATED thread"
Another reason why I honestly think Kiprop is clean is because he's part of the Kenyan police force, and has mentioned wanting to throw dopers in jail. He also seems like a good dude overall.
Waiting for a response from Centro, you would think a clean athlete would tweet something along the lines of, "What does this mean for 2013?"
The list of the Rosa's athletes is painful to read. I'm not suggesting that they are all dirty, but we need to at least review the possibility.

It's not a large leap to assume this is sham is the case for all running events including the marathon. Many such as I have stopped believing in what we see at elite level, the sport is dead.
I've assumed this for all Olympic sports for years. Stamina, strength, skill sports - they all have their drugs.
There are people who stay clean because they're afraid of the punishment. There are others that stay clean because of a moral code that preempts any chance there might be to get away with cheating. There are others that try to get so close to the line they might step over it and others aren't concerned with the rules and believe cheating is the only way. Elites aren't 100% one way or the other.
Do you have a link where Evan Scully says this? Any idea why he left the Makhloufi/French camp after that summer?
Been out today, what did I miss, anything good?
Oh....

Agreed.
In addition, similar-level competing federations should fund and oversee the testing of their competition.
Example: USA to oversee Kenyan/Ethiopian/Moroccan distance/middle distance athletes and vice versa. Jamaica/T&T/other Caribbean nations to oversee USA sprinters and vice versa.
The exact pairing to be determined by transparent voting committee.
Aligning the incentives to actually catch cheaters from competing nations would be a conduit to cleaning up the sport. If we/our federation believes someone is cheating, randomly test them four times a month.

Ooops, I've given the creepy stalker something else to work with.
Hang him in the town center. What a piece of trash.
We do need to be happy and applaud this kind of news. It’s a cheat being busted and one more tiny step towards a clean sport. Sad that nothing is believable and hasn’t been for awhile.
Where there’s money and fame there will always be cheats. This mess will probably never end in my lifetime.
Lifetime bans and jail time need to be implemented.

So here are two theories as to why Kenyans are getting busted and western white guys aren't.
1. White guys have better access to labs/private testing/info about microdosing/tipoffs about OOC test visits
2. Only black guys are doping.
Hmm. Wonder which I'd pick?
OOC testing in Kenya is BETTER than in Europe or America!
El Keniano - You seem soooo knowledgeable about OOC testing in Kenya vs OOC testing being done in America. Please explain to me how the OOC testing in Kenya is better. Please be as detailed as possible.
I await your response.
I have a feeling he is a sacrificial lamb.
Having an ADVR would give creditbility to OCC testing in Kenya.

agree in principle. just have to be careful if reps from a poor country oversee testing in a rich country, corruption is likely. look at what happened in FIFA, where it's easy to buy the votes of poor countries.

Wow!
That definitely looks like a PED race, only Superman can toy with a field of that quality; he does seem fatigued at the end. With that said, Kiprop is not suspicious in my book.
