you seem to think that we as fans aren't allowed to criticize runners because we aren't as fast. That's bunk.
Line one: you say imply that he had the ability to compete but chose not to.
Line two: you say that he "can't compete"
I'm guessing line two was not meant to change your view point but that you misspoke and that you do believe that Sage had the talent and ability to compete on the road? That's interesting, you should elaborate on that. What distances do you think he was capable of competing at and being able to podium at? What times do you think he would have been able to achieve?
I've certainly not seen anything from him that leads me to believe that he could have been competitive on the roads. His choice to move to trails seems wise, a man who knew his limits. But, I'd love to hear your views on why you think he had so much more talent than his past times seemed to indicate.
