It's solid but her 5K indoor nat'l record is worth a lot more than this mile. With that said, is that a PR for her?
Yawn - Hart could run 4:43 with her eyes closed.
It's just off her time from the Milrose trials in indoor (4:43.62), but her strongest performance is still her 4:18 1500 from the NY state meet last year.
Why do I have the feeling that she reached her lifetime peak sometime in October 2017
She said she had done a workout Thursday and was tired and not running for records. This mile performance is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things because she ran an almost identical time a week before running 15:37. Keep in mind, Kelsey Chmiel ran “only” a 4:49 split for Saratoga this weekend, which would put KT’s run as a much better performance. I think we’ll have to wait until XC to see how much she has improved. Her attitude of going out super fast and taking it from the gun is better suited for XC running than track. I think the race between her and Hart at NBN will be very interesting.
FYI 15:37 = 4:33 mile
Pretty sure she split 4:38 in a DMR

4:38 in a DMR is roughly equivalent to 4:33

Yeah that’s actually not true at all.
If she was going to race this week why not run at penn relays?
My best guess is because North Rockland couldn’t field a DMR team for whatever reason. No reason to go to Penn if you can’t put up a team in the relay.
4:33 = 4:33. Bank on it.

She could have run the 3k or mile. And what about the rest of the team? They have 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 teams and they have a state champion in the tripe jump. It is not all about Ms Tuohy what about these other girls
The tripe jump take a lot of guts.
Maybe they didn't get their entries in on time.
More likely they have a limited budget for team travel and saving up for end of season travels to national championship.

Yeah, that's probably it.....but Penn is real and "nationals" are not.
