Bump. This is arguably the best performance in the world this year outside of some fast Commonwealth times and M. MF Norman 44.52i WR.
Thoughts?
P
She's going to win a lot of medals over the next 8 years. Olympics, WCs.
Sydney who? Is she tested? And how regularly?
?
Anyone here the rumor she wanted 750k per year to go pro?
I think she should go back to college for year #2. She's enjoying it. Let the bidding get to a frenzy before the Olympics.
I don't think she even knows how good she can be. Good lord.
OP disappoints: it is not just a PR, but a WJR. Always give the highest level of credit unless you want to look like fool.

She now has top 5 all time world junior times (and 7 of the top 8 times).
She could become the Wylluda (discus) or the Zhang (hammer) of the junior 400H.
It's not that she wanted $750k per year, it's that she was offered $500-750k per year from a handful of brands and opted to go to college because she will command more than that next year. Remember, Trayvon got $800k/ per year. In the end, Sydney will sign for close to $1M/base per year. I initially thought it wasn't the best decision to go to Kentucky, but she is continuing to improve and run phenomenal. She is the face of the sport in 2020 if she wants it.

She's now #4 all time in collegiate history according to TFN.
1. 53.21 Kori Carter (Stanford) 6/07/13
2. 53.51 Shamier Little (Texas A&M) 6/11/16
3. 53.54 Sheena Tosta (UCLA) 6/12/04
Here is her pb progression:
2015 55.28 1-17 Lisle IL 1 Jul
2016 54.15 WJR WYR 3 Eugene OR 10 Jul
2017 53.82 WJR 6 Sacramento CA 25 Jun
2018 53.60

It's not as if she is making a mockery of the NCAA. Her 400H time (although a WJR) is only the 4th best NCAA performance in history. Even her 400m ranks higher on the all time NCAA list.
The NCAA system seems to be a good place for her to be this year.
When I predicted she would be Alysun Felix or even Usain's successor back in 2016, people poohed-poohed that. She is right on pace for becoming the next T/F Superstar.

Her debut 400H as a freshman is a WJR and 0.39 off being the fastest ever collegian.

Yes, exactly. She is progressing really well in the NCAA system this year. I believe that she made the right choice. As opposed to others who went pro too early (in my mind).
400h is a 2nd tier event in reality
What can she do for 400 flat
50.07 in the 400 and 22.39 in the 200.
Indoor she ran 50.36 which is a world junior record I believe.
And her coach says 2:03 over 800m. Don't doubt him one bit.

That's excellent thanks
She ran a 49.7x relay leg last year, mostly in lane 2. Would have had a medal shot at World's.
