Hello!
I'm a 33-year-old runner from Labrador, Canada. Been running for 5 years now and set personal bests of 18:20 for 5k, 38:20 for 10k and 1:24:11 for HM all last fall (91km peek /average 70 in lead-up to HM). I've trained all winter and currently running 75 km/week with a plan to consistently reach 90-110 throughout the summer.
My goal race is a sub-3 hour marathon in October. What are my chances? Any tips for getting there? I've been following the up to 88km plan on Pfitzinger's Advanced Marathoning book in the past couple of months as a base, and plan to start the up to 113km plan in June, 18 weeks prior to goal race. I've done one 20-miler to date and several other in the 15-18 mile range and plan to do several 20-23 milers between now and December. First race of the year is a 5k in 10 days, this should give me a better indication of where my fitness is right now. I expect to run near a pb.
Any input is appreciated!
