What’s an ideal 70 mile week look like training for the 10k. Like each day. Aiming to run just under 31min.
Here is a sample of what my kids would do, you can adjust accordingly depending on where you are in the season
Base
M: 20 min w/ up, 8 mile tempo @ aerobic threshold, 20 min c/d= 13
T: AM-4 PM-8
W: AM-4 PM-8
TH: 20 min w/up, 4x 1.5 miles @ lactate threshold w/ 2-3 min rest, 20 min c/d= 11
F: 6 miles easy
S: 16 mile long run easy
S: off
Would 70 miles be enough to hit under 31min in 10k? I had seem people saying at least 80-90 miles! I don't know though just asking.
