They don't they drop the weight in the base phases.
(Not all) but many will use Kenacort, get a TUE for a "Tendinosis"
Corticosteroids burn all the fat...
lower the average caloric density of the foods you eat and continue to eat the same volume of food

Drugs and a good pegging
It's actually high-intensity stuff that hits fat the hardest.
If you're running, those would be sprints and/or short sharp uphills.
