Hello! This is my first post on LR. I’m a girl sophomore high school runner who currently runs:
400- 1:04
800- 2:21
1500- 4:57
1600- 5:25
5k- 19:48*** freshman pr
I tried to do both track and XC conditioning last summer and eventually was mentally and physically burnt out during the school year. My sophomore pr was a 20:05 in the 5k and I was severely bummed about it. Mind you that I ran roughly the same mileage as my summer-before-freshman year. This year I want to see significant improvement in all my races. I know with summer track my times for track would go down, but I fear that my XC season will be hindered. What should I do?
