(FYI I’m a sophomore girl) I have been struggling this season. All of indoor I was doing pool running for a foot injury, and at the beginning of outdoor I got a different injury in both feet. I haven’t been able to train much due to constant injury, but I’m starting to go to the PT now and it’s getting better. Last year I ran a 2:16.74 800m (freshman last year) but this year I’ve only ran a 2:19. My coach thinks I worry about the other runners too much, I didn’t last year I just ran, and he’s right. The runners in the area are getting in my head and dictating my races. States are about a month away, and I don’t know what to do. Sophomore season has been a waste, before indoor I was so excited to run faster but now I have zero confidence.
