Hi all, I’m a 5’7 140lb junior guy in hs with pr’s of:
1600m- 5:05
800m- 2:17
My meet races always go 1600->800->4x4
I’ve run 4 meets so far this season, and my 1600 has steadily improved. The main problem is the other race. There are several events between the 1600 and the 800, but I always feels absolutely gassed when I start the 800 (like the 3rd lap of the 1600!) I haven’t pr’ed for two straight meets (2:18, 2:19) and I’m getting worried. I’m considering eating gels or something between events but I’m not sure how well that’ll work.
Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
