Very well done. He's got at least 3 more years of physical maturity as well. The future bodes well for this kid.
Can you still be a freshman if you aren’t in school?

"Freshman-aged"
Soren's making his way on up!
True very good race for him, however, all he does is running related. No classes to attend, no papers to write, no research, no tests, no deadlines. Running and blogging is his life right now. If other people had no commitments except running then you would see their times also improve. Just something to remember.

Are you sure that he doesn't have a job? I've only ever watched a little bit of one of his videos, but in that video, he talked about getting some kind manual labor job after leaving school.
Anyway, plenty of athletes are in majors that don't exactly require any great time commitment. If you're an econ or kinesiology major, your academics really shouldn't get in the way of your training at all.

What’s the payout ratio? I think a lot of people overestimate how much money you get from YouTube. Do you have facts?

I do enjoy his videos, by the way. Quality stuff.
"CPM stands for Cost Per Thousand (The M is taken from the Roman Numeral M which stands for 1,000).
This basically means that a YouTuber will get paid a certain amount for every 1,000 ad impressions that come from their videos.
To keep things simple, let’s say that you will earn a $1 CPM. This means that for every 1,000 times that your video is viewed with an ad appearing, you will have earned $1.
So imagine if you received a million views in a day like the big YouTubers, that would equal $1,000 in ad revenue!
The $1 CPM was just an example though. The truth of the matter is that the CPM can vary wildly, from as low as $0.10 per 1,000 views to over $10 per 1,000 views."
