Was a 37min 10k runner, 1:24 half and probably a sub 3 marathoner (didnt run it, but thats where i probably was), also ran a few ultras (6 hour 63k and 12h 109k, male, age 18. Had to stop for about 7 months, but now I want to get back at it again. How much time do you think it will take to get back in shape?
Recovery after my 12h ultra took around 1 month or more, and I also kinda lost any motivation running-wise back then. Also had a very busy school year so I decided to stop. I still ran and am still running like once a week in all this time, maybe around 10k at 5:05-5:15/km pace, which gets me tired a bit. Last year this was the pace of my normal runs, but I can't say I'm starting from scratch. My long term goal is becoming an ultrarunner, but I understand I need to have some speed ( though I always hated intervals )
