Does this make me less civilized?

Not as much as talking about yourself.
Currently at restaurant, guy using fork and knife for every bite of food? Maybe he's uncoordinated?
I used a knife and rope at the same time on occasion but never a knife and fork. That would be just cruel.

Were you raised in a barn?
My whole family does this, and I don't understand it. They end up pushing peas around all over their plates because they, for some reason, don't want to just use the knife for its intended purpose to assist in getting the food onto the fork. Worse, some of them will just stick their thumb in their plate in place of the knife.
I don't really see the advantage of forgoing the knife.
I use a knife and fork for steaks, pancakes, or the last bite of hard to get to food, but every single bite? I don't it? Seems to be a over use of the knife, maybe it's a code for pseudo intellectuals.
Eating this way is so grandiose

Really, the intended purpose of a knife is to slide peas onto your fork? Not according to the London mayor.
It's completely normal. Fork and cellphone is the current social standard what to hold while eating.
You are disgusting.
