eh hard to be sure, why not just ask her or Brooks if it has a spring plate or if it just has a massive stack for some weird design logic, they will either answer or avoid the question which indirectly answers the question
remember she has run Boston half a dozen times and around 2:25 each time, always in the top 10, her winning isn't unlikely, just takes her having a good day and a few others having a bad day and that was a very plausible situation this year
really don't want to see dozens of these kinds of shoes but if that's what it takes to get an outright ban, so be it (note that Hoka also had a spring plate shoe not just prototyped but ready for production and it was canned, which I give them credit on that decision, though we'll never know if it was for the "right" reasons)
