I am registered for the Berlin Marathon which takes place on 9/16/2018. I'd like to run a qualifying race to gain entry into Boston 2019?
What is the last day to run a 2019 Boston Marathon qualifying race?

Per website:
“The qualifying window will remain open until the conclusion of registration for the Boston Marathon (once the maximum field size has been reached).”
Meaning that date isn’t set yet, but will be sometime in mid-September 2018. For reference, registration for the 2018 race opened September 11 and closed September 20, 2017.
Interesting. Not knowing the exact date puts me in a difficult position.
I ran Boston on Monday and I re-qualified there. But I'm only 33 seconds below the standard. There's no chance that this will be good enough.
I am debating whether I should run another marathon before Berlin in an effort to lower my qualifying time. But it'd hard to make that decision if I don't know the exact date of the cutoff.
I've never run this race so can't comment on the experience, but it's early September, flat looped course near Chicago, and you get elite-style water bottle support.
This was my qualifying race in Sept 2017. I loved it and it was perfect for running a BQ.
But I can't run this and Berlin.
So if Berlin 2018 won't count for Boston 2019, I'll need to race in June or July so that I can recover and then train for Berlin 2018.

Grandma's is still open, it's like eight weeks out from now but that's about the latest good spring race.
Yeah, Grandma's was one of the races I had in mind.
I just wish I knew whether Berlin 2018 could qualify me for Boston 2019.
Doubtful, seems like Berlin is too late. Surprised you are thinking about Boston so soon after what transpired there.

You won't know until they release the registration schedule, and even then it will be a gamble.
"Registration dates for the 2019 Boston Marathon will be announced at a later date on the B.A.A.'s website,
www.baa.org."
"Monday, September 11 - Qualifiers who have met the qualifying standard by 20 minutes, 00 seconds or more were able to submit for entry.
Wednesday, September 13 - Qualifiers who have met the qualifying standard by 10 minutes, 00 seconds or more were able to submit for entry.
Friday, September 15 - Qualifiers who have met the qualifying standard by 5 minutes, 00 seconds or more were able to submit for entry.
Saturday, September 16 - Registration closed for Week 1 at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Monday, September 18 - All qualifiers who have met the qualifying standard were able to submit for entry.
Wednesday, September 20 - Registration closed for Week 2 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Sunday, September 24 - Berlin marathon"
So they've moved Berlin up this year, but no word yet on when the Boston rolling schedule will start. If it's like last year, you'd be applying after the BQ -5 minutes folk have signed up, and you would've been fine. I honestly don't know what time of year Boston releases their registration schedule.

"What transpired there"? It rained and was cold. What nonsense are you talking?

He didn't requalify.

I actually did re-qualify, but only by 37 seconds. No chance that will be enough.
The above link may be helpful. According to that release, the qualifying period for the 2018 race ended 9/20/17 (registration started 9/11/17). So far, the pattern for 2019 is everything being one day ahead of this year's race:
Qualifying window open:
2018: 9/17/16
2019: 9/16/17
Race Day:
2018: 4/16/18
2019: 4/15/19
I would then expect registration to open 9/10/18 and close 9/19/18, the latter date then being the last day you can qualify. That puts Berlin in the window,
If I read that release correctly, and assuming BAA doesn't change their policy, a BQ at Berlin would make you eligible for both 2019 and 2020? Example, this year, if someone ran a BQ between 9/16-9/20/17, they could enter the 2018 and/or 2019 race?
If I were you, I would not run another marathon until Berlin. I think your time there will be eligible for the 2019 race, but if not, at the very least, run well and you will have a very early qualifier for Boston 2020, with plenty of time to run another marathon between.
Good luck!
Based on my research, this was the conclusion that I've come to, as well. But you laid it out much more clearly than I could :)
It's interesting that there's a 3 day window that has BQ eligibility for 2019 and 2020. It may be worth emailing B.A.A. just to confirm that this is the case.
Thanks for the help!
BAA posted the 2019 registration dates on their website today:
"If space remains after the first week of registration (September 10-15), then registration will re-open for all qualifiers from Monday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. ET through Wednesday, September 19 at 5:00 p.m. ET."
So as long as the cutoff is less than 5 minutes Berlin will be a qualifier for next year's Boston.
