I have a calf strain that I continue to feel after even one mile of slow running. Can still run on it but it feels tighter than my other leg and I worry about reinjuring it. Have been following the process of the calf heart attack regimen where you build up to 3 miles every other day. But it's already been a week and a half and I haven't built up to more than a mile and a half.
Does this situation warrant a physical therapist visit? I've never gone to anyone professional before about a running issue. SHould I just do some yoga, or practice patience? Maybe a couple weeks is not enough, even though the calf heart attack article speaks of one week as pretty standard? (Before these last two weeks, I did not run for 3 months to play it safe.)
