The Ride and the Pegasus are a much different type of shoe than the Launch (standard daily trainers versus lighter-weight uptempo shoe). For Brooks, the equivalent to the Ride/Pegasus is the Ghost (which I've liked quite a bit).
I wear test for Saucony and love the Ride and Zealot. When I am between tests I still need to have trainers on hand. To me Brooks Ghosts are great from a cushion standpoint but just feel super unresponsive.
Is the Launch not solid for higher mileage summer base training?
Asking because I am looking for a fairly cushioned trainer since I'm mostly on roads but don't want something too unresponsive as I am usually running 6:30 or faster for long and easy runs.
Also, I have run in super minimal stuff so drop isn't really a constraint.
