Last 2 days I've had blood in the urine after the evening run. Yeah, I know, I've got to go see my MD. But, anybody experience this before? Thinking kidney stone or some irritation of the bladder wall...

Had this last month, was it painless or painful? Painless is considered cancer until its not (don't get scared yet) painful typically indicates an infection or stone.
Let me ask you this were you dehydrated sore or fatigued prior to doing your runs and what color was your urine before running?
I had a urinalysis and blood test (it testes positive for blood via dipstick but under a microscope it didn't show any red blood cells) about a week later they did an ultrasound on kidneys and bladder and nothing showed ( 2 weeks later it happened again all painless)
They ended up doing a CT scan and Cystoscopy (this is really not a big deal and painless you just feel pressure) the only thing they found was a benign small tumor on my kidney but it was 100% NOT CANCER.
They believed it was from a combination of being not fully recovered from previous workouts and being dehydrated before my run.
Since following doctors orders I havent had any incidents since.
With that get it checked out better to be safe than sorry and bladder cancer is a simple and painless procedure and odds of beating it are as high as waking up in the morning
What is your age and have you ever smoked?
Age 46, smoked for a few years in my 20s. No real pain, just some right pelvic discomfort. I’ve been training pretty hard for a spring marathon, maybe not as hydrated as I should be. The urine clears up an hour or so after, regular color.
I was in a similar boat smoked for a while 20 years ago.
Honestly man its probably nothing and I went against doctors orders and saw a specialist without a referral for the peace of mind. But my urologist did say people have came through with similar symptoms and no blood showed up on urine test and they did have cancer. That is obviously worst case scenario but even if its a stone and your doctor does a simple and safe ultrasound they can give you meds to pass it easier.
This happened to me on 2 occasions. In both instances it was kidney stones.
Happened to me a few months ago. don't pee before you run or don't empty your bladder 100%.

thanks for good intel. hopefully just a stone or bladder irritation.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
