High school runner. Ever since I started running freshman year, my paces in long runs/easier runs have stayed the same. I run high 7's. Why haven't they naturally dropped as my fitness improved? Also, my fastest times were during sophomore year, and I am a senior now. My mileage has been pretty consistent, with a summer peak increasing every year. My peak was about 45 miles before soph year, about 55 before junior year, and about 60 before senior year. My senior cross country season was ass and my track times now are what barely what I ran soph year
What do I do? I want to get faster.
