I must admit while I was very happy to see Desi win, but overall I was disappointed in the way the race ended up for the big showdown between the american athletes. A few months ago, it looked like it was going to be amazing to see Desi, Molly, Shalane, Jordan, Sara, Kellyn and Serena battle it out, but it ended up been a little different. Overall happy that am american won but would like to have seen a different race play out,
That is what makes sports, and marathoning in particular, so great.
It's unpredictable.

But... they did battle it out? It was just a tougher battle than most.
