I am just asking myself how to shedule the next days before my 5k race on sunday where I try to break 16mins.
My last 3 weeks where around 80miles including the following workouts:
10x1k in 3:20 to 3:15 with 1:40min Rest
20x400m in 76 seconds 50-60sec rest
30km long run
9km easy run followed by 10x1000m fartlek ( fast ones in 3:20-13 and slow ones in 4:00-3:40)
2x6x30seconds hill repeats
10x400m in 72sec with 60sec rest
special block: am: 6km tempo in 19:55 ( 3:19/km) pm: 5x400,5x300,5x200m
How should I train this week in terms of mileage and workouts ? The last hard training was 2 days ago.
Looking foreward to hear some advice on breaking the 16min barrier.
