The wind chill was what, 28? And soaking wet? I saw a few women wearing bun huggers and little crop tops! Same with many of the men wearing shorts and singlets! Many with no gloves. Their hands had to frozen.
Geez, dress for the conditions. Times were out the window anyhow. They were out there for hours! It was no day to be a hero and pretend to be a tough guy. 1000 or so with Hypothermia, yea no sh!t. And everyone else had to be freakin' miserable.
Yes, but you're running & generating a ton of heat. At least I do. I probably would have gone with something between Desi & Kawauchi. Lightweight waterproof mittens & headband like Desi wore. But a T-shirt, and then possibly arm warmers like Kawauchi wore.
