Everyone who appreciates running is aware of how poorly the live events are covered. Even putting aside the poorly timed commercial breaks, there is massive room for improvement.
It would be great to see a race covered as a sporting event not as a human interest story.
We viewers are treated as though we have never seen a running race before or any of the athletes compete. Raise the bar of base level of competency required to watch. Many people watch ball sports with no concept of what is going on but the announcers don't stoop to their level throughout the entire telecast.
Beyond that is there anyway to get footage of the top 10 finishers after the packs split up? Imagine seeing Sarah Sellers moved up to second place today?
This is the future we can live in! How can we do this? Someone on here must know.
Drones? Fan cams? Tons of money?
