To me Rupp getting hypothermia doesn't sell Nike gear very well. Brooks gear FTW!

Honestly stopped reading after you said "yet you don't like him" when I never said I didn't like him, I feel nothing towards him, he's just whatever to me.
If you feel nothing towards him, then you don't like him. If you liked him, you would feel something towards him.
He never said you dislike him, simply that you don’t like him. “Don’t like” does not mean “dislike.” It’s simply the absence of liking.
So either now you’re saying that you do like him, or you just got that defensive over a poster accurately interpreting what you said.
Which one is it?
He proved once again that he IS a 2:04 guy!

Rupp had a bad day, it happens, his best running days are still a few years away, I think he finishes his career winning the Gold Medal in the Marathon in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Marathon. Is there a better way to end your career than winning an Olympic Gold in your own country?
Are you kidding? I know you post uninformed crap here but thus is bordering on 72 hour forced psych hold material.

Nah, not really, I cared equally as much about him DNFing today as I did about him getting silver in the Olympics. Kind of the same with Molly Huddle, don't really care one way or another how she does and that doesn't mean I have anything against her. I wouldn't be ecstatic about her winning like I was for Shalane in NY and Desi today.
Rupp clearly tried to respond to a move that Yuki made before Kirui went for it and he didn't have anything. Shortly after that he was tenth and I knew he was done.

I had hypothermia after I finished Boston. It was no fun. Thought I was having the best race of my life, mile 21, crashed. I still wouldn’t drop out over it. That is soft...
Just out of curiousity, were you paid to run? Was running your job? Did you have the option of coming back in a few months for another performance?
I'm guessing the answer to the first questions are, no. And if they are yes, I'm guessing you were paid very little.
You were likely running for pride, rather than career. Professional athletes bonking into the ground on a bad day is like riding a bad stock to zero when all the signs have told you that it's done. Holding out because of pride is moronic in this sense.

Nah, same with Molly Huddle, don't really care how she does . I wouldn't be ecstatic about her winning like I was for Shalane in NY and Desi today.
What do you have against Huddle?
Why even bring your hatred of her into a Galen Rupp thread?

Haha "hatred", good one

Neither of which are the same as cold-moisture-saturated air.

Right at Heartbreak Hill is where Yuki gapped Rupp.
So you go out of your way to tell everyone that you don't like Molly Huddle, in a thread which has nothing to do with her, and then you try to laugh off suggestions that you are sick with hate? Seek help, bro.

If someone asked you if you like Rupp, your answer would be "no," correct? Okay, so you don't like Rupp.
It's a binary thing. You either like someone, or you do not. You do not like Rupp. This doesn't mean that you dislike him, though you seem to be reading this into the phrase.

Round and Round asked in the last page why people don't like Rupp, if you want to say "do not like Rupp" as in not caring one way or another, having no positive or negative feelings for him then yes that is accurate. I dislike AlSal.

Sick with hate? Seek help? I was answering Round and Round's question and I seem to be the only one who has done so. Apologies if not caring about Galen one way or another offends you somehow, you seem to be taking this very seriously.

Hypothermia I can understand. I am surprised that asthma would be an issue in low 40s and rain.
Um, that link just listed ALL weather conditions. So that means they could also have zero effect on asthma.
Yep and the commentators pointed out that he was responding and like 4 seconds later he stopped trying
