I am not a fan of misrepresentation of any sort. It happens in football, basketball, etc. as almost a form of gamesmanship
However, I made my decision based on evidence, the thread, the history of degeneration of values on this site, and who made a stronger case.
I think the OP is correct here. To me, this letsrun.com has rapidly drifted into Perez Hilton territory. In other words, people decide it may be journalism, but only Hilton's friends and the guilty pleasure niche market validates Hilton. It's similar here. I like the comparison from a later poster to a fraternity, as well, as that mentality has taken over here. Many defending the3 Johnsons are simply friends of the Johnsons. Well, it's great to have your friends defend you, but there exists that possibility that you and your friends could be wrong.
It is not legitimate journalism, but more like paparazzi when letsrun has to "sneak" interviews and then takes a biased side in their portrayal of the news. In true journalism, you would have a thread and you would quote supporters and naysayers. You would deliver the news and let the readers decide and debate. However, it becomes fake news at best when you slant the news before you actually give facts. The term "yellow journalism" is very appropriate here.
It then becomes worse when you, as the moderators, give more opinion at large than even your posters do.
How does this relate to Hasay? Until you have a valid source that has a close enough affiliation with the Nike Oregon Project, Ms. Hasay or associates of Ms. Hasay close enough to be enabled to answer for her, you really do cross a dangerous line, especially since you bring in money from your site from sponsors.
Now I am honest with myself and you and others. I have stepped in against this site on racial issues when this place became increasingly racist. I have addressed sexism when this place became increasingly sexist. I am addressing ethics now that this place has become unethical, with your "journalism" at the forefront.
I highly recommend that you both take a journalism class to refresh your efforts and that you listen to many of your naysayers here. Many are correct.
Listening to friends is easy. Listening to the truth is difficult. Balancing them is wise. I trust you'll make the wise choice.

Rojo’s glee and bashing of Hasay is despicable. He no longer has credibility as a journalist. And he can no longer say he doesn’t have an extreme bias against Nike and NOP.
Anyone who feels pride and joy in one of our top athletes (and good role model) coming down with serious injury is just a lousy human being.
