Hahah yeah I was sure he was gonna blow up with that start and then those surges, but I guess not. The dude is amazing!!! There couldn't have been a better or more deserving winner!
Does anyone know how our friends from the thread are doing?
AJ ran 2:41:52 Looks like.. Very man sized race out of him.

Regardless of the time, operation stop Rupp is a success

Wow great time, specially in these conditions.

So right! AJ 1, Rupp 0 and goes home devastated!
Seriously strong running from AJ, though. I can't remember what his goal was if the conditions were good, mid 2:30s? To come within a few minutes of that in these conditions is solid.
Naw...they're 1-1. Rupp bested him at Chicago. No doubt an impressive run today, though.
#stoprupp
Way to go AJ! Damn fine running in those conditions.

I could not agree more! Great run, AJ. This is exactly what I expected of you. That is a great time in those conditions. In better weather, 2:3x will be no problem.

Ah, forgot about that match up. But 1-1 is pretty darn good, too.
Thanks for all the kinds words. Nice little PR by about 30 seconds on a tough course under less than ideal conditions. I’ll post a full report later but most importantly...AJ SENDS RUPP HOME DEVASTATED!!!!
Hmmmmm someone said Rupp would DNF earlier in the week... wonder whom that could be!
I guess VeggieBoy is next on the Hit List
AJ - you beat Meb too! Poor guy couldn't even break 3 hrs.
Congrats, AJ.
