I dunno but my Great-Grandpa always wondered why England sat on their hands during WWII and didn't provide soldiers for offensive operations.
WRONG.
American didn't want to have anything to do with WW2. They saw it as a foreign war, and that it had nothing to do with them. FDR begged congress over and over again hat america had to be part of the war. Winston Churchhill told america that England was their first line of defense, and if Germany were to get past them, then america would be destroyed. Plus it was rumored that Germany had made a deal with Mexico, that if they were to help Germany take down the americans later on, he would give them all of America.
Winston Chruchill finally convinced the americans to send weapons and machinery to help with the war, and after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, that is when America physical joined the war.
The biggest heroes of WW2 was China and England: China, even though they weren't as strong as they are now, never allowed Japan to conquer their country. That war was the war that started WW2. Had japan conquered China, then that region would have been huge territory for japan, germany, spain and Italy to work out of. They would have taken over Asia.
England, IN THEIR FINEST HOUR, never folded. The people of england didn't get scared, an element that Hitler underestimated. Also, England controlled the seas with their brilliant Navy( one that american emulated). That is what kept England strong, and Hitler stupidly tried to attack Russia at the same time that he was attacking England.
You really need to study WW2.
