I am running a 5000m tonight with hopes of going under 15:00 for the first time. I am 30 years old. I was decent in HS (4:35/16:40), but didn't run in college. In my early-20s, I caught the running bug again and have been on the roads ever since. My top result to date is probably my 2:30 marathon PR, but I am in better shape than that right now.
I am in the middle of 25k training (goal race is May 12), but decided to take this sub-15 crack while I feel fit. Weather looks like it will be okay with temps in the mid-upper 50s and 8-10 mph wind. I have two pacers and one of them will probably take me the whole way if I can hold on. There are also 3 other guys going after 15:00 (in addition to the pacers) so we should have a decent "group".
Recent training - 98 mpw average since Jan 1
