Trans Australia Footrace 2001

The Race was organized by Jesse Dale Reily (USA) and Bernie Farmer (Australia) during the Australian summer. Runners had to face 110F, a very basic race organization and stages up to 58 miles. The race went 2656.6 miles/4274,5 km from Perth to Kalgoorlie, through the Nullarbor Desert to Port Augusta, Adelaide, Melbourne to the Australian capital Canberra. The Russian ultra runner Anatoli Kruglikov won with an overall pace of 8.4 miles/hour, that is a 3:10 Marathon 97 times in a row!
